I went for the hydrostatic fat test yesterday and I'm pleased with the results. I'm at 25% body fat. (This also means my digital scale is off by 5%) My ideal should be 22% but to really push it, it would be 19%. I'm going to set my final goal for 19% now and hopefully I'll get there when I reach 142 lbs. :)

This morning as I was dressing for work, I realized that there's a whole lot of stuff I just can't wear any more. There's only so much a belt can do for me before I start to look ridiculous. I put my foot down and decided enough is enough, there is no reason why these artifacts of my past should still be hanging in my closet of the present, even if I got unbelievable deals on them at anthropologie. I must move on.

Today is a victorious day. I was putting on my clothes and realized that they were ridiculously large on me. There's only so much a belt can do. I decided to pull out my "victory clothing" stash of size 4s and size 6s to see if I got lucky. Yay - I fit into both the size 4 top and the size 6 pants! :) To be honest they weren't really victory clothing. It was the only size available at the anthro sale and I willed myself that I would one day fit in them.

So... I've been gone 3 weeks on vacation and I really saw no point in trying to maintain my food/exercise journal since everything was going to be out of whack. It's true though... the chileans/peruvians hardly have any vegetables in their diet at all! It was very trying to 'eat healthy' in another man's land, where every meal is ladened with papas (potatoes), but overall i think i did ok. Gained only 2 lbs phew. :)

I'm back on the grid, still very much alive. Been gone for 3 weeks trekking in Chile and Peru with my dear husband, Mikee. It was good to be away but it feels better to be home. Will write more later...
