:: 1000 calories a day? ::

I managed to burn 1000 calories yesterday by working out in the a.m. and p.m. I weighed myself this morning on my own scale and wow, the scale read 189.8!!! I am finally under 190! :) Not bad at all!

I've pretty much resigned to the fact that I won't win the competition but I still _wonder_ if I stand a chance by upping my workouts to twice a week and aiming for 1000 daily calorie burn?

Thoughts?

Jo,
I came across one of your comments while reading Tracy Reifkind's blog a while back and have been following your weight loss/fitness journey since then. You're doing lots of good things and I wanted to encourage you as you continue towards your goals! As for double workouts, just be careful that you don't get injured ("too much too soon") and you don't get burned out. So, perhaps try doubles 1-2x/week to start and go from there, rather than going full throttle immediately. What are your thoughts? "Slow and steady wins the race"...maybe not this short term race, but definitely the longer term "race" of life! Keep up the good work!

Hi Susan,

Thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to comment. I really appreciate it. You know, I never even thought of the idea of burning out and I'm so glad you have raised it to me. I will take your advice and tone down the doubles for now because getting injured or burnt out is definitely not in the plan. :) Thanks again!
